Body weight
What is body weight?
It is the gravitational force exerted on a human body at or near the Earth’s surface:
- Body weight is the product of body mass (in kilograms) and acceleration due to gravity (9.81 ms2) measured in newtons (N).
- Body weight appears ONLY when support is present (on support). Without support there is no body weight.
