Our training plans are capped at 4 months because that’s the proven window where you should see measurable progress if you follow the workouts. Beyond that, your fitness and speed will have advanced enough that your plan would be outdated. For the best results, we recommend starting a fresh plan with new speed calculations every 4 months, so your training always matches your current ability and continues to move you forward.

What if my race is more than 4 months away?

If your race is 6 months (or more) away, you’ll start by setting your first plan to the latest possible 4-month span. This keeps your training focused and ensures you’re making progress during that critical window.

Do I need to buy another plan before my race?

Yes – once you complete your first 4-month block, you’ll order a new plan with your exact race date. This updated plan recalculates your speed sessions based on your improved fitness and prepares you precisely for race day.

What if I don’t see progress in the first 4 months?

If you follow the plan accurately, you will see results — that’s our promise. These plans are built to deliver progress within 4 months, so if your race is further away, there’s no need to repeat the same workouts. A new plan ensures your training reflects your updated fitness.

Why not just create one long plan?

Because training isn’t static. A single 6-month plan would become outdated – your workouts must evolve as you improve. By refreshing your plan every 4 months, your speed sessions are recalculated, keeping your training effective and relevant.
