WHY HOST?

Running is part of virtually all sports.
There are more runners than participants in any other sport.
Running is the most popular activity by sheer numbers: events and participants.
Running is also #1 athletic activity in non-contact injuries.

One would think that given all that popularity there would be more running classes around. That is not the case! Let’s fix that. Let’s give thousands of your local runners an opportunity to improve at their most favorite sport.

LOCATION

LOCATION + TRAVEL

Where in the world are you? No seriously – it is one of the most important aspects to consider when scheduling an event. No matter how awesome the host location is, if it is difficult or costly to get to, it will be also difficult to conduct a successful event. Unless you’re interested in hosting a private event for at least 10 people. In that case just drop us an email (courses@posemethod.com) and we’ll work out the details.

Consider the ease of getting to your spot before filling out an application to host. Here’s a short list of pretty basic requirements that need to be met:

Your location should be simple to find and easy to get to
It should be a basic travel arrangement (air ticket + car rental or ride + hotel)
Your location should be close to hotels and restaurants.

REQUIRED FACILITIES

Study space with chairs and a large screen TV
Exercise space adequate for 15+ adults
Bathroom(s)

SCHEDULE

Our 1-day course is an 8 hour event with a 1 hr break for lunch. We are flexible on start and end times, but the number of hours must remain at 8 hrs. So, please consider what is required and what would work for you, and make the appropriate selection on the application.

Saturday or Sunday
Start time between 8am – 11am
Lunch break
End time between 5pm – 8pm

A prefered schedule is: Saturday, 8am-5pm

It is easier for most participants to commit to and make appropriate travel plans for a Saturday.

REQUIREMENTS:

No other classes or events can be held at the same space during the hours committed to our 1-day course.
Doors should be open at least 30 minutes before the start of the course.

EQUIPMENT

AUDIO/VIDEO

While this is a predominantly practical event, a small but an important portion of it includes a brief overview of the information and video analysis.

Large screen TV or a projector screen

EXERCISE EQUIPMENT

We can work with a variety of tools. While we prefer to work with a certain set of tools, we can do with what is available. Here’s a list of some of the useful equipment in no particular order of preference:

Medicine balls of various sizes and weight
Stretch cords (here’s an example)
Rubber bands (here’s an example)
Standard bars and weight plates
Jump boxes (various height)

FEES

Your logo, business name and location will be featured on our website and in all our efforts to promote our seminar hosted at your place of business.

There are never any hosting fees.

The host will receive a one time 40% discount to register as a participant of the seminar or to register a single staff member as participant. All additional staff members may be registered with a standard 15% discount code.

HOST’S RESPONSIBILITY

No Other Classes: No classes can occur during or near our scheduled course times (to include lunch)
Drinking Water: There needs to be a drinking water supply. If not, bottled water is expected to be provided.
Equipment: All equipment needs to be onsite, ready for use at least 30 min before the course starts.
Cleanliness: The hosting facility needs to be clean & ready for use at least 30 min before the course starts. It is also the host’s responsibility to make sure the facility remains clean throughout the day, bathrooms have toilet paper, trash cans are emptied, etc.
Heat/Air Conditioning: The hosting facility is expected to be at a reasonable temperature during the course. Participants should not have to wear winter jackets due to lack of heat, for example.
Host Staff: Host facility staff may not stay for the course unless they are registered to participate.
