Approved Continuing Education Hours for Physical Therapists

The Pose Method seminars listed below are approved for continuing education hours and competence requirements necessary for Physical Therapy state license renewal.

 

The Pose Method: A Standardized Approach to Running & Injury Prevention

This Pose Method course is approved for Continuing Education credits for Physical Therapists in the following states:

Connecticut (16 CCUs, 16 contact hours)
Pose Method Courses are qualifying continuing education activities for PTs and PTAs according to the rules of the Connecticut Board of Examiners for Physical Therapists, Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 376 (Sec. 20-73b)

Florida (16 CEUs, 16 contact hours)
Romanov Academy of Sports Science is recognized by the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice as an approved provider of continuing competency courses for the state of Florida.
Effective date: 08/04/2016

Illinois
750-6243 The Pose Method- A Standardized Approach to Running & Injury Prevention approved for 16 CE hours. The Illinois Chapter Continuing Education Committee has certified that this course meets the criteria for approval of Continuing Education offerings established by The Illinois Physical Therapy Association. Approval Period 2/1/2016 – 2/1/2017

Indiana
A course approved by a component of APTA (Chapter or Section), will count towards Category I continuing competency hours in Indiana.

Missouri (1.6 CEUs, 16 contact hours)
Pose Method Courses meet the continuing education requirements for PTs and PTAs established by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts and in accordance with the Rules of the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration Division 2150 — State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts (20 CSR 2150-3.203)

North Carolina – accepts outside state approval

Tennessee (16 CCCs, 16 contact hours)
Pose Method Courses meet the continuing education requirements for PTs and PTAs established by the Rules of the Tennessee Board of Physical Therapy, Chapter 1150-01, General Rules Governing the Practice of Physical Therapy (1150-01-.12 5.c. d.)

Utah (16 CECs, 16 contact hours)
Pose Method Courses meet the continuing education requirements for PTs and PTAs established by the Utah Department of Administrative Services and in accordance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act Rule R156-24b.

Virginia (1.6 CEUs, 16 contact hours)
Pose Method Courses meet the continued competency requirements for PTs and PTAs for Type 1 and Type 2 courses established by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy (Title of Regulations: 18 VAC 112-20-10 et seq. Statutory Authority: Chapter 34.1 of Title 54.1 of the Code of Virginia) and in accordance with the Continued Competency Requirements for Renewal of an Active License (18VAC112-20-131)

The Pose Method – A Standardized Definition of Movement for Injury Prevention and Athletic Performance

This Pose Method course is approved for Continuing Education credits for Physical Therapists in the following states:

California – 2.4 CEUs or 24 hours (CPTA #15-427)

Florida
Romanov Academy of Sports Science is recognized by the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice as an approved provider of continuing competency courses for the state of Florida.

Illinois
750-6080 The Pose Method – A Standardized Definition of Movement for Injury Prevention and Athletic Performance approved for 24 CE hours. The Illinois Chapter Continuing Education Committee has certified that this course meets the criteria for approval of Continuing Education offerings established by The Illinois Physical Therapy Association. Approval Period 11/1/2015 – 11/1/2016

Indiana

Pose Method Courses meet the continuing education requirements for PTs and PTAs established by the Utah Department of Administrative Services and in accordance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act Rule R156-24b.

Guidelines for States That Do Not Pre-approve Physical Therapy Courses

Physical therapy courses provided by the Romanov Academy of Sports Science generally meet the criteria established by those states that do not pre-approve continuing education courses. It is the responsibility of the learner/participant to review the guidelines established by their state to ensure the courses are satisfactory to meet their continuing education requirements or professional development plan.
